Keep in touch Old Europeans made their fortunes by trading with the New World. We think this is still the best formula: We’re off to Vietnam today to consolidate some contracts and look at some very interesting projects. We’ve just signed 2 new projects in Russia and have had lots of interest in our Russian Riviera Leisure Resort for JV or VC. We are about to sign an ambitious VIP aviation project in Ukraine. We are discussing factory and construction projects in Algeria and Libya. We also have some PV solar park project for sale in Italy, and a 4* hotel for sale in the center of Lyon, France. It keeps us busy, and it’s interesting and challenging! Face Nord, route sud ou voie médiane ? Olivier Grassi réalise une belle remontée

Suspense et grandes incertitudes sur le Rhum...

Déjà plus d’un golfe de Gascogne d’écart entre le géant Groupama 3 (Franck Cammas) qui progresse à vitesse grand V le long des côtes portugaises et les retardataires des catégories Class 40 et Rhum : à chacun ses premières lampées de Rhum sur la reine des courses océaniques en solitaire. Face Nord, route sud ou voie médiane ? Pour les 85 navigateurs de la Route du Rhum-La Banque Postale, l’heure des grandes décisions stratégiques a sonné dans un contexte météorologique particulièrement incertain. Guerre de routage à un train d’enfer chez les Ultime, course de vitesse et début des premières options dans le camp des IMOCA, régate au contact pour certains, course de fond océanique pour d’autres : le suspense l’emporte à tous les étages de cette 9è édition qui s’est élancée hier dans des conditions favorables pour tenir le public en haleine dès les premiers milles du parcours...

Olivier Grassi réalise une belle remontée.

Aujourd’hui, Olivier a gagné une dizaine de positions au classement. Olivier est concentré sur son objectif, à la sortie du rail d’Ouessant, il attaque l’Atlantique en 21ème position, à 24 milles nautiques du leader Bernard Stamm. Olivier Grassi navigue actuellement à une moyenne de 7 à 8 noeuds, cap au 231°. La progression de Grassi Bateaux situé dans le "paquet" est médiane par rapport aux options les plus extrèmes choisis par ses concurrents directs.

"Building Excellence in Business " Patricia GOODENOUGH, ADVENT UK London - 25.10.2010   Political pop and Retirement Political pop and Retirement As you probably know, I spend a fair bit of time in France, and we’re listening to various political pop records.  Currently playing are Revolution, which is undergoing a revival, Status Quo which is hugely popular again, Austerity which no-one wants to listen to, and 62 Retirement which has bombed badly!  Other European countries have opted for Retirement 65 or 67.  France as usual is socially cautious and for once, early.  Interestingly, it seems to be the teenage students who are offer the most vociferous resistance to 62 Retirement; how they can know what they’ll want at 62?    “Retirement at 60 - who would want to?” I say.  It’s only later in life you enjoy work so much, since you can’t snowboard or skydive any more.  If you agree with this, send your vote to Advent UK on Facebook!  Click here Facebook London as a Financial Centre for Emerging Markets Stock Exchange Listings To be optimistic, the City of London has come up with a detailed analysis of the BRIMSA countries (Brazil, Russia, India, Mexico and South Africa) and their potential for stock market listings, and happily in spite of the financial tsunami and consequent debris in the financial flows, it seems that London is still the most likely place for all these countries except perhaps Mexico which would favor New York.  So don’t fire anyone in the City yet boys!  Send an email to info@advent-uk.com for a copy of this report.
